What It Actually Means

Nothing on your file shows you currently managing an installment loan. The model rewards demonstrated experience with both credit types (revolving + installment).

What It Does NOT Mean

It does not mean you should rush into debt to fix it — credit mix is one of the smallest levers, and it only matters once the bigger factors are handled. Numbering note: this is TransUnion’s code 4. On Equifax/Experian letters, code 4 means something different — ‘Too many bank or national revolving accounts’ (see that entry).
